Killing Your Job

” Some Jobs Are Simply Beyond Repair. Improvements Would be Like Adding A Set Of Designer Curtains To A Jail Cell: Better But Far From Good.” – Tim Ferris

I happened to look up and realized it’s October. The year is almost over and I’m happy to say I’ve accomplished a lot this year. I managed to quit my job, went Full Time as a Real Estate Investor. I work from home or virtually usually at Starbucks. I launched 2 new websites, along with a Mentorship program nationwide, but enough about me.

Time is flying by, were almost about to enter 2011, and my question is Life passing you by? Everyone has dreams of making a lot of money, being able to spend more time with there loved ones, travel the world. All of these things have came to me because I took of leap of faith, and did a bold thing with leaving my dead end $12 a hr job. All courses of action are risky, so prudence is not in avoiding danger, but calculating risk and acting decisively.

Make mistakes of ambition and not mistakes of sloth. Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer. I can say this. If your still working a job where you can see there’s no growth. If you feel its not letting you reach your full potential, or its taking up most of your time. One thing I realized was when I had a job, was that I spent more time with the employees and managers at the job than I did with my newborn baby, and family. I wasn’t cool with that, so I changed it, and I quit!

Now I’m not telling you to go in your job and just quit without having some type of plan.  If you Fail To Plan, Your Planning To Fail. Set a Goal, and figure out what it is in life you really want to do so that you can achieve the success you always wanted. If your waiting for the perfect time. Now is the right time. The Stars will never align all the way and give you the perfect time to leave your job, and do what it is in Life that you truly want to do.

What’s Holding You Back? What are you scared about?

Leave some comments. I want to hear from you.

  • Man taking chances goes hand and hand with success. I know so much about that. I lost my job in May but before that, I was working on an exit strategy so after getting fired, i felt liberated instead of depressed. It’s a great feeling and I encourage anyone reading this post to start getting an exit strategy together
