Marketing or Building Relationships? What’s More Important?

There’s a famous saying in business. “Its not what you know its who you know!” Which I agree with to a certain extent. As entrepreneurs & business owners we must connect with other individuals. This will help grow our business & in return will result in more profits. But what about Marketing? I’ve always told people that Marketing is the Lifeline of any business.

I look at Marketing like the engine of a car. You can hook up a car with the best sound system. Throw some 22 inch rim’s on that bad boy, nice candy paint job. But without a engine, that car only looks good in one place. And it’s not going far at all. I know for a fact in Real Estate Wholesaling, thats our main thing we have to focus on. Marketing For Motivated Sellers, Marketing For Motivated Buyers. Were in the marketing business. And the better we become at marketers for these leads, the more money we bring in! Hell I once marketed a letter to a motivated seller. Not only did I make 4k cash with just sending out a letter and stamp that did not cost nothing but a dollar to send. But she complimented me about the letter. Good Marketing!

Now yes you do have to build relationships and connect with agents, other wholesalers, brokers (in some cases), etc. But what’s more important? If you could ask yourself now whether you been successful in Real Estate or any business. What has taken you farther & made you more money? Is it building relationships with other people? Or Marketing your business for leads.

Leave some comments.

Tell me what you think is more important. Having a Strong Business Marketing Plan or Building Relationships in business?

Chris, your totally right. With out marketing your business a lot, how many people are you going to know. The more marketing you do, the more people you will be in contact with to create that business relationship.
