How To Figure Out The Passion Within You
Ever wonder how to figure out your innermost passion, your purpose, your why? Are you asking yourself “Ay, caramba, what is he talking about?”
What is it that fuels you to be your best, to get up early, to stay up late, to keep on practicing day after day? Is it your family? Is it a desire for a better lifestyle? Could it be a simple and pure love of playing a particular sport? Do you feel an all-consuming craving from deep inside that you must prove to yourself or someone else you have what it takes to be successful?
What is success to you? What is it you want? Where do you want to be? Who do you want to be?
Is it something materialistic? Is it being the head of a successful business? Does it mean you are truly able to help people, either through inspiration or through financial funding?
If you don’t know what your passion is and you’re not sure about how to figure out what it is, my hope is that this overview will help you discover what is lying within you that will energize you from this point forward.
Step one, reflect on what it is you really want, who you want to be. Write it down in detail. If this seems challenging, think about what you don’t like in your life right now. Maybe the answer lies within the realm of negative motivation. If you are sick and tired of what you’ve been getting in life, daydream for a while about what you do want.
Think of things that excite you, that make you feel like your endorphins are morphing out and turning into an uncontrollable burning desire. If you can get to this feeling, more than likely you now have a much better understanding of your passion.
Step two is to contemplate on the context of who you want to be. This begins with reflecting on and understanding who you are and what you don’t like about it.
What do you want to change the most? This will help you find out what’s right, who you really want to be. Envision your ultimate personal character, write down all of the details.
Figure out your specific goals for the next three months, six months and one year. Yep, you guessed it, teacher says “Write them down and prioritize them.”
What’s the big chip, the one main obstacle you can’t seem to let go of that is keeping you mired in the comfort rut of life? Think about the past serious commitments you have made that you never followed through on. What’s the commonality, the brick wall you keep running into? Is it a fear? Could it be a lifetime bad habit?
Speak with your mentor about developing a plan of action. If you don’t have one, think about people you admire. You may not necessarily have to know them personally. Use your creativity and take the initiative for how to introduce yourself to a leader you admire. This could be an author of a self-improvement book that has had a solid impact on you. Send them a friend request on Facebook. Reach out to them.
Cruise through your cranium, see if you can figure the bigger reasons you might have to take action to achieve your goals.
Being completely honest with yourself, reflect on what level, what type of integrity you want to have with everyone. Who is the single most important person to be in absolute integrity with? Hello? It’s YOU! Integrity begins within each of us. If we’re out of integrity with ourself, then we’re most likely out of integrity with others.
Now you must make sure you focus on every action being geared toward results! This means your focused actions will get you closer to your goals each and every day. This is the basic premise of what is known as the compounding effect. Consistent energy and action gets you closer to your chosen destination.
Work at reaching the point where you can achieving excellence with your day-to-day process. Mindset, organization, self-management, knowledge, and results oriented behavior are all contributing components of your overall soon to be leadership skill-set.
The bottom line is that your results are the only indicator of how you are doing, how you are progressing.
There Is No Need to Try and Fit In
I noticed that many people are trying to fit in, and just to be one of the crowd. Maybe, they are trying to hide in the middle of the masses, to avoid self discovery and to avoid success. So many people do just enough to get by without being recognized and in the end sabotage their own success.
The world’s system is designed to influence us that we must always try to “fit in”. To stay in the box that they have designed for us and told us many reasons why we should not get out, to dare to be our unique selves. We are too much of a threat when we just keep it real and be ourselves. Each of us are specifically designed to perform a task and carry out an assignment dedicated to making the earth a better place. Yet, we’re deceived into thinking we should be a certain size, height and what clothing we must wear. The pressure is placed on us to change our unique, individual style and taste, just to follow the crowd.
Who decided what normal is anyway? When each of us have so much more to do and be. There are still many books to be written, many songs to write and to sing, many poems to be written. Yes, many designs to create and many more discoveries to be uncovered. I am not at my best and neither are you. We are ever evolving, stretching, growing and learning. Yet our whole goal is to become better and better, and find ways to help others to live their best lives.
Everything on the earth that we enjoy and use, and in some cases cannot do without, began with an idea. So, what would you do if you knew you could not fail? There are no shortages in the earth, only a shortage of dreamers, inventions and trail blazers. Everything has not been done, and everything has not been discovered. Revive your dream, and believe in yourself again. Who is perishing because you have not discovered your true identity? It is time to reach on the inside of you and pull on the strength to try one more time. Your authentic self requires expression, and there is no need to compete or try to measure up to someone else. Let go of fear of failing and looking back. To stand out in the crowd means that you may get more eggs in the face, and that you are a better target for the “haters” and those who are stuck in average- ville and are afraid to step out into greatness.
I know that it not you, your destiny is calling, and a life of significance is just up ahead. The journey from ordinary to extraordinary is just to do the little “extra”. “Never put off for tomorrow what you can do today” Thomas Jefferson. Be bold and of good courage. “Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.” William Feather.

Why Do I Need A Coach?
You don’t! You can keep going the way you are and doing the things you are doing and expecting things to be different? But guess what? They won’t be different.
How are you going to create real success in all you do?
Have you addressed these questions.
1. Is fear of failure holding you back from real success in all you do?
2. Are you holding back making decisions because you might be wrong?
3. Are you afraid of taking the risk because you might look bad? Or it might cost you a great deal.
Why not ask these questions in a much more positive manner – what if:
1. You took the risk and it worked out?
2. You failed and it gave you more confidence in trying again?
3. It didn’t work, but led you to something even greater
As you begin your journey into the new year, there are 3 questions on the table that you need to address and 13 keys to addressing them.
1. Where are you going?
2. How are you going to get there?
3. When are you going to get started?
First one – where are you going?
1. Do you have a vision – do you know where you are headed?
2. How innovative are you in what you are doing? Are you doing everything from inside a box which limits your potential? Are you in the box?
3. How is your attitude? Do others want to be like you? Do others want to follow you? Or, do others avoid you because your attitude stinks?
4. How much courage do you have? Remember the opposite of courage is conformity.
Second – how you going to get there?
5. Do you have a written plan that addresses and shows you how you are going to get to where you want to go. A written plan with written goals, measurements and someone to keep you accountable.
6. What have you learned from this year and the past? Positive and negative. Remember, if you don’t do a lessons learned, you will keep making the same mistakes.
7. Do you have a servant attitude? How can I help you today?
8. How is you time management – not paper forms or schedules that are so detailed no one could ever follow them. I am talking about priority, priority, priority. Simple put, are you working the highest payback items first.
So, once you know were you are going and how to get there, the third step is simple – get up and do it.
9. Action – no matter what – if you do something, then something will happen. If you do nothing, then nothing will happen.
10. Persistence – do you refuse to give up? Do you refuse to lose? Do you keep on rolling even when it gets tough? Do you keep on rolling even when you “don’t feel like it?”
11. Disciple – simply put – do you do what you said you would do, when you said you would do it. Or has all that gone out the window?
12. Practice – you know how I feel on this one. I don’t care how long you been doing it. I don’t care how good you think you are. I have been selling for 30 years. I still spend 30 minutes almost every work day reading and learning to get better. Practice does make perfect although I am not there yet!
13. If you got this far, you are in business. The final step, or the step that encompasses it all. Listening. How good are you at closing the mouth and opening both ears. The better you are at it, the greater next year will be.
Get some help, implement you dreams, your vision, your goals. Make it happen in the next year.
How Do Successful Entrepreneurs Start?
If you have been tossed around, getting knocks, things not working for you or just want to start something new… You are in the right place. Forget about yesterday, last month or last year with all the disappointments; that is the past, let’s together focus on the future.
Here you will discover what your teachers have not told you, you will discover the true meaning of education, if you are older you will wish you could have come across this site at the earlier age. If you are young…. this is one of the best discovery you will ever come across in your lifetime. Take it seriously please.
If you have been in education, you will agree with me that school has taught you many things but very few if any you had ever been exposed to the true meaning of education. Have you ever been taught to apply what you were learning in order to achieve a life filled with happiness, accomplishment, and success? Did anyone ever tell you about goal setting? What about Financial Intelligent? What about going through education so that you can have a business of your own rather than going through education with a mind of landing a job of your life (which quite often does not happen).
Why educational institutions do not teach to apply what you learn? Is it because Success is difficult? Do you ever wonder or think that may be these institutions are trying to help the weak ones who can not handle the burden of success? Think about it.
It does not matter where you come from, what you want to do, every one of us wants to achieve better in life. Some of us it is a distant dream, other it is possible routine, while others KNOW that they have achieved before they even achieve. So why causes some to be successful and others not to be successful when we are born the same. (born naked, we all learn to breathe, eat, crawl, take the first step, we learn to talk and continue to grow until we develop into different unique human beings). When do we change? When does our aspirations start to change or to fade?
The answer might be painful to some of us and hard to bear. The majority of us have absolutely no idea how to begin to make our dreams come true. The majority of u have skills, tools needed to make our dreams come true but it seems that we never reach or accomplish the dreams. Why is that? Like I mentioned above, being equiped with tools and skills is pointless if that equiped person has no knowledge of how to use the tools and skills possessed.
Not once – neither in primary school, secondary school, college, university were you ever instructed on the simple techniques of setting goals, of motivating yourself and others, of dealing with adversity, of eliminating self-defeating habits, of using time profitably, of practicing the power of choice, of developing self-confidence, of doing the things you are afraid to do, of generating enthusiasm at will, of organizing your life, of accumulating wealth, of getting people to give you what you want, of looking like a winner, of guiding your children, of handling stress, of counting your blessings… and so much more. Congratulation to you because you have managed to survive at all is a tribute to your courage and faith.
How Can One Begin the Journey of Entrepreneurship?
The beginning of entrepreneurship will be to define success. What is success? When do you feel you are successful? When do you feel you are not successful? The reason I am asking you these questions is because success can mean different things to different people.
When you are about to embark on the journey of entrepreneurship, you must make up your mind that you really know what success means to you before you take off. Probably you have heard of people who go after what they are seeking and only realize later on that they are missing certain aspect of their lives.
Personally I would like to define success in the categories. Your health and fitness, your wealth creation and your relationships with others. These are 3 main areas that you have concentrate on while pursuing your dreams. Most of the times people follow one out three and wonder why they are frustrated despite the success they have in that one part.
Entrepreneurs sometimes forget that health and relationship are important only to realize that when they have accumulated wealth but other part of their lives are not working. Therefore I will suggest that when you start to pursue your dream, you make sure that you have goals in all three aspect so that you don’t overlook any part of life.
Entrepreneurship requires a different spirit. Forget what you have been taught in class The great myth that if you grow up… go to school and get your degree… find a job where you work for an employer – many times unrecognized as an individual – but work hard none-the-less… climbing the ladder to the top and put in thirty-plus years of hard work you can one day…possibly… own a home?… have a mediocre savings?… and…. retire?
The truth is that many of the individuals who follow down this path to success find themselves forced to come out of retirement and rejoin the workforce a few years later… often in a minimum wage job and having less freedom.
Yeah, it may be true that right now you’re:
A student still wondering what you want to do with the rest of your life or what direction you will take
An employee that soars above the rest with grand ideas and visions that up to this point have put a lot of money in your employers pocket
A person that has a single idea… with a passion to bring a project to life… but you’re struggling with how to start your business
The rebel that desires freedom… and money… and could never see yourself being tied down to an office cubicle
Someone with grand dreams and visions of how you would like to live your life… but you’re held back by fear of failure
Quite often referred to as being “unemployable”
All the above people’s categories are frustrated and need to break free. It is very hard and nearly impossible to believe that you can break loose by following education system, you have to find people who have walked the path. You have to find mentors who can direct you and educate you on what you have to do in order to become a successful entrepreneur.
Once you find someone or a couple of individuals who have gone through what you want to do, ask them to nurture you, follow their inputs, join your local business chambers, mastermind groups and eventually you will start to develop an entrepreneurship mind.
Recently there was a movie that was produced for people who want to become entrepreneurs. The producers realized that there is a great number of people like I mentioned above, who wanted to break free but did not know what to do. Therefore they decided to interview at least 35 successful young entrepreneurs who started from zero how they managed their businesses and become millionaires. These entrepreneurs revealed a lot and I believe that as you are about or have already embarked on the entrepreneur journey, you might benefit from what they were talking and discussing during the interviews.
Some of the issues they revealed are that:
The greatest enemy of achievement and how many entrepreneurs fall into this trap
Why ignoring your passion can backfire because you’ll just get trapped in the JOB cycle
How to capitalize on existing ideas
The importance of perception and how to exploit it
How to jump from idea to market using a simple source of information
Why it is critical to exploit your mistakes
How the people you keep company with could be holding you back from success
Why if there’s no risk… there’s no return
How customers can finance your venture
Why you need to enter each venture with a heart of service
The key to dealing with people and why you should spend 90% of the time talking about them, not your pitch
What comes first…prospects…or capital?
How to start asking yourself the right questions to get the results you want
The truth about the law of attraction… and the missing step that you haven’t been told
How to monetize your idea
What real failure is…and it’s not a failed attempt
The reality of what you’re really risking as an entrepreneur… The image in your head is a lot scarier than the facts
How to avoid launching a product…just to find out that nobody wants it
If you can understand the points above, there is no good reason why you can become a successful entrepreneur but there is a trap!!! No one can do this for you, it must be you and you alone. You have to take action regularly otherwise nothing can work out for you at all.
What Are We Most Afraid Of?
Human world is an interesting one if you take a closer look at it.
Most of our lives we spend being locked up in a very tight cell with walls built out of our own limiting beliefs and, what’s even more interesting, we don’t even realize it.
I mean, just think about it for a second.
You’re born. As you grow and gain your own understanding of what’s going on, you realize that nothing is impossible.
Everything is easy.
Your dreams are sky high and your hopes are even higher. Everything seems doable and nothing seems to be able to stop you once you put your mind to it.
You’re a child.
Then, as you keep maturing your parents teach you that certain things are impossible. Pretty quickly you learn that some things are difficult to get. You realize you can’t be who you want to be because you’re just…
…not smart enough.
You start seeing that your life and what you can get out of it is limited and, what’s worse, you start believing that not everything is possible. Some things are just out of your reach and some people are just luckier than you.
This is about when you start putting up the main walls of your limiting belief system. This is when you start building the prison cell you’re going to spend the rest of your life in.
Now, because you’re human and we, as humans, have a wonderful ability to adapt to pretty much any set of circumstances, pretty soon you get used to living in a world that’s full of limitations.
Soon you stop dreaming of being who you’ve always wanted to be and your main goal is just to get by. It’s not long before your dreams are knee high to a duck and your hopes are even smaller.
You start living from paycheck to paycheck and… you like it that way. After all, your job gives you security, right?
Now, because that security is pretty much all you really want in life, you naturally detest change. You know that…
…change means lack of security.
So, there you are. Stuck within your limiting beliefs, pacing around and around just to make ends meet, with no way out because every opportunity to expand your consciousness and turn down the walls of your home-made prison is considered to be a threat.
Just think about it for a second, though. Is change really a threat?
Of course it’s not. If you take the time to go back and analyze your life, you’ll quickly realize that the best things, the things you enjoyed the most took place as a result of change.
I mean, you were happily single, just minding your own business and…
…suddenly…
…you met that woman (or that guy). The world starts spinning and… you’re in love.
Change.
Then, you date. You like to go see movies, eat ice cream, take horse riding classes, do acting together, talk, read books, hike…
…you just have fun.
Then one day, you decide you’re going to get married. It sounds scary at first but you decide to go for it.
Again, change.
So, you’re married and you have never been happier. It feels incredible to know that you’re now part of a family. You feel completely safe and secure, and then one night she says she’s pregnant with twins.
Change.
You’re frightened for a moment, but then you realize that it’s going to be a fun adventure and it’ll work out just fine.
Of course, you’re right. The kids get born, they grow up and as soon as you learn to tell which one is which you realize that they’re the greatest little things that have ever walked the earth.
You can’t imagine your life without them.
See, every time there’s change in your life, there’s a period of fear or uncertainty. It is there because you don’t really know what that change will bring.
Pretty soon you realize that most changes are good to you, though and… there’s no need to be afraid of them.
Now, let’s think about what would happen if instead of kicking change out as soon as it enters your little room, you decided to go for it and welcome it?
My thinking is that if you treated change as something positive instead of being afraid of it, you’d soon realize that your life is richer, more fulfilling and… infinitely more exciting.
See, change gets you out of your comfort zone. It gets you to do things that you have never done before. It helps you to develop as a person and… it makes you realize that your limiting beliefs are completely wrong.
It’s change that helped people make the fortunes they made. It’s change that is the mother of all invention. It’s change that makes it possible for you to be creative.
Another great thing about change is that it really is all good for you.
Of course you might be unable to see why it’s good for you when it first takes place, but change will lead you to actions and those actions will lead to greater improvement of yourself and your life.
Of course, to really be able to utilize change for the best, you have to understand something.
You have to realize and always remember that you are the one that’s in charge of what’s going on in your life. People might want to influence your decisions, they might tell you that something you want to do is not a good idea. They might tell you that the plan you have will never be successful, but guess what…
- They laughed at Walt Disney telling him that he didn’t have enough creative ideas, yet he moved on to create countless characters that have become icons of our culture.
- They made fun of Michael Jordan and kicked him out of his high school basketball team before he went on to play for NBA and become one of the most widely recognized people in the sports industry.
- They told Thomas Edison that he was too stupid to learn anything when he was at school, and now he has more patents to his name than any other man in history.
You see what I am trying to get at here?
It doesn’t matter what people do or say to you. You’re in charge, and although others can influence your life in ways that might cause your stomach to twist in knots, it’s you who can take whatever happens (be it positive or negative) and utilize it for your benefit.
As long as you always welcome change, as long as you are not afraid of it, it’ll lead you to outcomes you’ve never thought of. It’ll help you get the riches beyond your wildest desires. It will lead you to realize your wildest dreams.
It will make it possible to become whoever you’d like to be.
Remember, that it’s impossible for you to see what the Universe has in store for you, but if you always accept what’s coming your way, if you always welcome it with open arms, you’ll learn how to use the unlimited power you possess to get pretty much anything you want.
You’ll have access to things you’ve never heard of. You’ll realize that your mind is extremely powerful and able to get you through any hardship or difficulty. You’ll notice that you’re as powerful as you want to be and…
…nothing will be impossible to you.
For that to happen, though, you have to welcome change, and that means that you will have to change what you have always thought of the world around you. See, to fully accept change, you need to tear down those walls of limiting thinking and… really go for whatever tomorrow brings.
Let me give you an example to illustrate my point better, OK?
Let’s say you’ve been employed by a corporation and you’ve worked for them for 25 years. You’re now about fifty and they’re letting you go.
You have two options here.
You can either break down and start worrying, thinking that it’s impossible to get a new, decent job at this age (which is a limiting belief) or simply realize that this is just change, everything will be fine and you’ll figure something out.
If you’re positive and excited about what’s going to happen to you, you’ll invite events, people and circumstances into your life that will change it forever!
You’ll face difficulties in your life. You’ll face troubles. You’ll face change that you’d wish you never had to go through, but…
…just enjoy it and you’ll see your life improving greatly from it.
Remember that no matter what happens, you’ll grow from the change in your life no matter what it is. The growth might be rapid or it might be slow, it might be pleasant or rather painful, but it will be very beneficial to you in the end.
I know it, because I’ve studied my own life. I’ve gone through a whole lot of hardships, difficulties and… change. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else!
Passion! Secrets to Finding and Following Yours
Do you remember that time as a teenager when people would ask you what you wanted to do with the rest of your life? Unless you were one of the lucky few that actually knew what career path you wanted to choose, you probably cringed at the question and mumbled something about leaving your options open.
Whilst there’s nothing wrong with leaving your options open, it’s interesting to take a look at where you have found yourself within your career and work life. Do you wake up bounding with energy, excited about the day ahead at work? Yes, I can hear you laughing and saying that nobody likes going to work, but the bills just don’t pay themselves; and I can understand your thought process. In truth though, it is possible to feel great about going to work, but so many people have been conditioned to believe that work is hard, arduous and no fun. When you find your passion and start to follow it, it’s amazing the changes you’ll feel about going to work each day.
Finding your passion. It’s such a simple statement but it conjures up so many different feelings for people.
- I still don’t know what I want to do
- I’ll never make any money
- What if I change my mind, or don’t like it anymore
- I don’t know where or how to start.
These are all very real and common fears about working with your passion, but they can also be overcome with a little perseverance. Remember that working towards any goal requires patience, persistence and a little determination.
Let’s take a moment now to look at these fears:
I don’t know what I want to do
A lot of people think they don’t know what they want to do in life, but if you look for enough clues you will be able to find something you’d like to pursue. Try asking yourself some of the following questions:
- What did I like to do as a child?
- What were my hobbies?
- What did I dream of being when I grew up – before I learnt about limitations?
- How do I like to spend my spare time now?
- What type of books or movies do I enjoy?
- What magazines do I enjoy reading?
- What community activities am I involved in; or would like to be involved in?
- What sort of lifestyle would I like to live if time and money were not limited for me?
Asking yourself these questions will help you to uncover a theme in the ways you like to spend your time. Now try to come up with a list of jobs you could do that would fit in with your themes. Have fun with this activity and let your imagination run. Keep any limiting thoughts out for now and really let yourself dream big. It’s also fun to get together with a couple of friends and do the exercise together, and then spend some time brainstorming ideas for each other.
Another fun idea is to grab a heap of magazines and start flicking through them cutting out any pictures, words or phrases that you feel draw to. Don’t worry if you don’t know why you like them, just cut them out anyway. When you’ve finished, take a look at all of your cut-outs and see what themes you can find.
I’ll never make any money from my passion
Maybe you will and maybe you won’t', but that’s still not a valid reason not to give it a go. If you really are worried that you won’t make any money from your passion, I’d encourage you to invest some time in learning about the Law of Attraction and also researching some other people that have been successful in your field. If they can do it, so can you. There’s so many great biographies out there that there’s bound to be one about someone who’s doing what you also love to do.
Following your passion doesn’t have to mean that you toss in your day job and invest every last penny you have into your new venture. Many successful businesses have been created as a small side hobby and been allowed to slowly grow. When your new business brings you in the same or more income per month as your current job for at least 3 – 4 months, then you can think about letting go of your old job. Nothing will kill your passion faster that financial stress, so allow your passion to grow slowly and naturally and I can assure you, you’ll be amazed at what you can create.
What if I change my mind or don’t like it any more?
Nobody says that your passion has to last you to the end of your days. As humans, we are constantly growing, changing and evolving and that means our interests and passions will too. This is another reason why you wouldn’t throw in your day job straight away or invest all you have in it because sometimes you do change your mind or it turns out to be different to what you’d expected. It’s okay to give things a go and it’s okay if they don’t work.
Would you rather give something a go and decide that it’s not for you, or do you want to spend the next years of your life wondering if it would be right for you? Find a way to trial your passion without having to invest all of your time and money and see where it takes you. If it lasts a few months, a few years or even a few decades, it doesn’t matter. You’ve tried it and you can move forward. Learn what you did like about it and what you didn’t and try to channel those features into your next endeavour.
I don’t know where or how to start!
Sometimes when you look at the final picture, knowing where to begin seems really difficult. Your dream just needs to be broken down into some smaller goals that you can see are actually achievable for you. Take a look at your ultimate goal and then break it down into about three or four smaller goals. Take one of those smaller goals and break that down into another 3 or 4 steps and keep going until you find that you can take the first step.
Your dream doesn’t have to be created over night and it’s okay if it takes a long time – as long as you’re still constantly moving towards it. If you break your goal right down and you’re still not sure how to start, then either start some research about it or perhaps enlist the help of a professional to get you started.
Following your passion is a real possibility for you; the first step is simply deciding what it is you want to focus on first. Secondly, create a goal that you’d like to achieve and when you want to achieve it by. Remember to keep your time frame realistic if you are working on your passion part time. Thirdly, start taking some action steps towards your dream and passion. Lastly, review your goals on a regular basis. Before you know it, you’ll be bounding out of bed each morning filled with the enthusiasm of following your passion!
