How To Motivate Yourself To Tackle Those Chores

In today’s busy world, there never seems that there is enough time to get everything done. The days are too short, the time just passes by too quickly and that “Honey Do” list seems to get longer by the minute. Why is that?

Perhaps it seems that there are never enough hours in the day to get to all the things you have to do because things on that “To Do” list aren’t tasks that you look forward to. You try not to think about it, you procrastinate, you don’t give it a proper place on your priority list, or you don’t place it there at all. You know those chores need to get done but you go about your day finding other things to do, or waste your energy coming up with excuses for not doing them. You may not realize that it is you that will ultimately suffer by your non-actions.

By putting things off, you are just adding to the problem. Take a minute and think of this example: one of those chores that you dread, could be dealing with those monthly bills and trying to balance your budget. It might be something that you are not really looking forward to, especially if finances are tight. By not tackling that chore and ignoring it or pushing it aside, it becomes an open wound that starts to fester. Your “balance owing” will start to increase in size with interest charges. Not only that, your credit rating will be affected which in turn will have a negative impact on any future plans. Your life is certain to be interrupted by nagging phones calls from collection agencies and your stress level will also increase that now impacts your health. All this could have been avoided, had you dealt with the issue at hand properly and in a timely manner.

“Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.” – Thomas Jefferson

There is great wisdom in Thomas Jefferson’s words and they are definitely words to live by. Find motivation in those words to alter your thinking and take action. It’s all in how you approach things.

Change your way of thinking. Look for ways to pretty up that “To Do” list with check marks. With each check mark for a task completed, you will feel a weight lifted and experience a sense of accomplishment. Turn the “have to” chores into “want to” adventures. It will make you more effective and more satisfied at the same time.

Act in Faith

Quote of the Day – “Faith is thinking something is true to the extent we act upon it. ” W.T. Purkiser

Act in faith is a principle that must be learned by experience. Faith without works is dead. Most people, regardless of their faith, are familiar with that verse of scripture in the Bible from James. However, the idea of blind faith is ridiculous. However that is a far as many individuals ever get. They have no idea that James was talking about having faith in God. Faith in faith doesn’t work. Faith in the power of the living God does work.

You have to place your faith in something powerful enough to accomplish the goal you have in mind. You can place your faith in self but self is limited to your knowledge and experience.

Faith in God is unlimited and it makes more sense to trust in an unlimited power instead of the limited power of self.

Self might be able to accomplish a few task on this earth but still it is limited.

The key to accomplishing a major goal an impossible goal is to trust in the living God to help you accomplish the goal. You can’t accomplish anything without first having faith then act in faith.

You can’t jump off the highest building in the world and expect to live. However, if you get a glider, parachute, or a small plane to fly off the building with you will accomplish your goal. First you must have the power greater than self a glider, parachute or a small plane. Second, you have to trust the tool to get you to the bottom safely. You will never accomplish your goals with just faith or with just the act.

You want to get to the bottom of the building but you must first have faith in the power or tool then act on the faith.

I think I might be complicating this subject. Maybe not, act in faith. Have faith in a power greater than self because self is limited. Trust in self you will accomplish little chores. Trust in God and you will move a mountain.

Faith in action is critical to accomplish any goal in life. I want you to take a faith test. Pick someone you think you can trust. I dare you to try little faith test. Have someone stand behind you. You face away from the person and close your eyes. Ask the person to catch you as you fall backwards into their arms. Can you do it without flinching. I can’t do this very well because I have a trust issue with people.

To be honest, at times I have a trust issue with God. Yet, in order to move forward in my life I have to trust others and trust God to catch me when I fall.

Remember faith requires actions.

5 Tips to Expand Your Money Blueprint

A lot of buzz is created every time there is a winner in a lottery. Many believed that this is the grand solution to almost all their entire problem. So it’s a normal sight to see a long line of wishful thinkers with high hopes of being chosen as the grand winner in every lottery.

So what if you do win? What are you going to do next?

Look at the event in a different perspective. Do you know that it’s a known fact that 90% of all lotto winners lose all the money they won (no matter how big) within just a period of five years? That sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But that’s the truth. Now that’s a good reason why you should NOT be lonely if you did not win.

Now how could that be?

The reason for that is simply this… the minds of most lotto winners are not yet programmed for success. This money programming is what we call as a person’s “MONEY BLUEPRINT.” If your money blueprint is designed small and you start receiving a huge amount of money, you will automatically engage in sabotaging behaviors to lose that money. It can be compared to a small drinking glass that is receiving a huge volume of water and so what happens is the water will just flow out of the small glass. The small glass just can’t hold a gallons of water being poured into it! So what this lotto winner needs to do if he wants to sustain and continuously grow his money is re-design and re-construct (his mindset) to LARGE. Otherwise, he will just lose everything real fast!

This principle applies to everyone on the face of this planet. Until you can program your mind for success, you will continue losing everything that you get or earn. So before going for any dream or goal, why not take the time to discover first how you can recondition your MONEY BLUEPRINT to LARGE.

The question now is “How can you start redesigning your Money Blueprint?”

1. Invest in your learning - Look for self-help financial books that will give you an insight on what you are right now as a person when it comes to money. Most if this learning are not taught inside the classroom, if it is, evaluate the credibility of the teacher. It must be written and explained by people who are credible and have created substantial results in wealth. Most of what we know came from advises of poor and broke people around us. In return, that became the programming of our mindset and ultimately our reality. But don’t worry because it’s never too late to start unlearning and acquiring new knowledge.

“If you think education is expensive, try ignorance” – Ben Franklin

2. Join a mastermind team - One of the greatest secret in building wealth is associating and surrounding yourself with wealthy people. It may not be materialistically wealthy people but people having a wealthy mindset. These are the people who will lift you up to success and will always encourage you to set goals bigger that yourself. It makes your dreams easier to get because other people can think of other possibilities in attaining your dreams that you would NOT normally thought of when you are just alone.

3. Practice BEING – Being poor or broke starts from a strong belief so as with becoming rich. Even though you don’t see physical manifestations of wealth around you yet, form the belief in your mind that you are already wealthy. By doing so, your subconscious mind will look for ways and opportunities around you to create wealth. Becoming aware that you have an infinite potential inside you waiting to be unleashed is your ultimate key to success.

4. DO IT! – There are two kinds of habit, DOING and Not DOING. There is no such thing as TRYING. When a great idea comes that will expand your money blueprint, seize the moment and DO it right away. Never wait for opportunities to be perfect because it never will. Making as many mistakes while doing what you thought of is your footbridge towards your dreams. Remember that knowledge that is never applied is meaningless.

5. GIVE what you want to Receive – Always remember that abundance is everywhere. Money does not run out, it only circulate. Start by donating to a worthy cause in your society and you will be blessed tremendously. Whether money or opportunities, you will always get what you always give.

Passion! Secrets to Finding and Following Yours

Do you remember that time as a teenager when people would ask you what you wanted to do with the rest of your life? Unless you were one of the lucky few that actually knew what career path you wanted to choose, you probably cringed at the question and mumbled something about leaving your options open.

Whilst there’s nothing wrong with leaving your options open, it’s interesting to take a look at where you have found yourself within your career and work life. Do you wake up bounding with energy, excited about the day ahead at work? Yes, I can hear you laughing and saying that nobody likes going to work, but the bills just don’t pay themselves; and I can understand your thought process. In truth though, it is possible to feel great about going to work, but so many people have been conditioned to believe that work is hard, arduous and no fun. When you find your passion and start to follow it, it’s amazing the changes you’ll feel about going to work each day.

Finding your passion. It’s such a simple statement but it conjures up so many different feelings for people.

  • I still don’t know what I want to do
  • I’ll never make any money
  • What if I change my mind, or don’t like it anymore
  • I don’t know where or how to start.

These are all very real and common fears about working with your passion, but they can also be overcome with a little perseverance. Remember that working towards any goal requires patience, persistence and a little determination.

Let’s take a moment now to look at these fears:

I don’t know what I want to do

A lot of people think they don’t know what they want to do in life, but if you look for enough clues you will be able to find something you’d like to pursue. Try asking yourself some of the following questions:

  • What did I like to do as a child?
  • What were my hobbies?
  • What did I dream of being when I grew up – before I learnt about limitations?
  • How do I like to spend my spare time now?
  • What type of books or movies do I enjoy?
  • What magazines do I enjoy reading?
  • What community activities am I involved in; or would like to be involved in?
  • What sort of lifestyle would I like to live if time and money were not limited for me?

Asking yourself these questions will help you to uncover a theme in the ways you like to spend your time. Now try to come up with a list of jobs you could do that would fit in with your themes. Have fun with this activity and let your imagination run. Keep any limiting thoughts out for now and really let yourself dream big. It’s also fun to get together with a couple of friends and do the exercise together, and then spend some time brainstorming ideas for each other.

Another fun idea is to grab a heap of magazines and start flicking through them cutting out any pictures, words or phrases that you feel draw to. Don’t worry if you don’t know why you like them, just cut them out anyway. When you’ve finished, take a look at all of your cut-outs and see what themes you can find.

I’ll never make any money from my passion

Maybe you will and maybe you won’t', but that’s still not a valid reason not to give it a go. If you really are worried that you won’t make any money from your passion, I’d encourage you to invest some time in learning about the Law of Attraction and also researching some other people that have been successful in your field. If they can do it, so can you. There’s so many great biographies out there that there’s bound to be one about someone who’s doing what you also love to do.

Following your passion doesn’t have to mean that you toss in your day job and invest every last penny you have into your new venture. Many successful businesses have been created as a small side hobby and been allowed to slowly grow. When your new business brings you in the same or more income per month as your current job for at least 3 – 4 months, then you can think about letting go of your old job. Nothing will kill your passion faster that financial stress, so allow your passion to grow slowly and naturally and I can assure you, you’ll be amazed at what you can create.

What if I change my mind or don’t like it any more?

Nobody says that your passion has to last you to the end of your days. As humans, we are constantly growing, changing and evolving and that means our interests and passions will too. This is another reason why you wouldn’t throw in your day job straight away or invest all you have in it because sometimes you do change your mind or it turns out to be different to what you’d expected. It’s okay to give things a go and it’s okay if they don’t work.

Would you rather give something a go and decide that it’s not for you, or do you want to spend the next years of your life wondering if it would be right for you? Find a way to trial your passion without having to invest all of your time and money and see where it takes you. If it lasts a few months, a few years or even a few decades, it doesn’t matter. You’ve tried it and you can move forward. Learn what you did like about it and what you didn’t and try to channel those features into your next endeavour.

I don’t know where or how to start!

Sometimes when you look at the final picture, knowing where to begin seems really difficult. Your dream just needs to be broken down into some smaller goals that you can see are actually achievable for you. Take a look at your ultimate goal and then break it down into about three or four smaller goals. Take one of those smaller goals and break that down into another 3 or 4 steps and keep going until you find that you can take the first step.

Your dream doesn’t have to be created over night and it’s okay if it takes a long time – as long as you’re still constantly moving towards it. If you break your goal right down and you’re still not sure how to start, then either start some research about it or perhaps enlist the help of a professional to get you started.

Following your passion is a real possibility for you; the first step is simply deciding what it is you want to focus on first. Secondly, create a goal that you’d like to achieve and when you want to achieve it by. Remember to keep your time frame realistic if you are working on your passion part time. Thirdly, start taking some action steps towards your dream and passion. Lastly, review your goals on a regular basis. Before you know it, you’ll be bounding out of bed each morning filled with the enthusiasm of following your passion!

Are You Thinking BIG – Or Just Not Thinking Of Much At All

Is your glass half-empty or half-full? How you answer this age-old question about positive thinking may reflect your outlook on life, your attitude toward yourself, whether you’re optimistic or pessimistic and even the success you are innately and “pre wired” to create for yourself. Everyone has it…only a few actually apply it on a daily basis.

Here’s a quick and simple test. Compare the different scenarios I’ve listed below and decide which one will benefit you, and get you to the place you really want to be…

Mistakes:

When you make a mistake, do you magnify it into big issues, or do you ignore them as minor errors and consider them a consequence and part of living and learning?

In Conversation:

When engaged in conversation, do you talk about the negative qualities of your friends, work and the economy, or do you bring out the best in every situation and emit positive energy to those around you?

Budget Problems:

If faced with a lean budget in trying times, do you only find it necessary to save $$ by cutting down on expenses and eliminating certain amenities, or… do you find ways to “step outside the box” and create an additional stream of income and plan for your family’s future?

The Future:

Do you view the future as very bleak and limited, or do you see the future as an open door to personal growth, goal setting and unlimited possibilities?

Companionship:

Are you surrounded by negative, petty thinkers who are stunting you from growing, orare you in the presence of folks who have large, progressive ideas and nurture your life with positive energy and encouragement to grow?

Goal Setting:

Do you daydream and allow yourself to live on “Someday Island,” or…do you constantly strive to set and achieve goals no matter what walls you may have to climb?

* Don’t sell yourself short. We have all been guilty of self-depreciation at one time or another in our lives. Dump the head trash and negative self chatter. Start using and discover the Power of Affirmations in your life, and see just how quickly your thought patterns begin to change on their own.

* Stretch your vision and allow yourself to see what can be, not just what is**

Fire “Mr. Defeat…and allow “Mr. Triumph” to work for you instead…

Surround yourself with positive, like minded folks who are obsessed with the ability to create the success they deserve and desire…

The Worst Thing That Can Happen Is Not That You Fail!

The worst thing that can happen is not that you fail, it is that you think of yourself as a failure and give up. That is by far the worst thing that can happen and the good news is that you are in control of trying again because there are always new opportunities to try for if you look for them.

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team and he went on to become the greatest basketball player of all time. Steven Spielberg was placed in a learning disabled class when he was in school and he grew up to become THE most respected film director alive today. JK Rowling’s Harry Potter manuscript was rejected by twelve publishing houses before eventually being accepted by a publishing house. Her books eventually set records as the fastest selling books in history! Everyone who has ever achieved something great, has had to persevere through rejections. The people who we think of as having an almost infinite amount of success, fame and fortune have been able to achieve their goals be persevering more than the average person has.

Whether we like it or not, setbacks are an inevitable part of everyone’s life. In order to achieve your goals, you must embrace moments of failure along the way. These setbacks happen to everyone and its very important for you to see them as necessary stops on the way to success. If you are one of the many people who assume that successful people don’t experience failure, read over the second paragraph a few more times because your assumption is not consistent with reality.

Everybody has moments of failure, (especially the people like Michael Jordan, Steven Spielberg, and JK Rowling) who everyone things of as being super successful in their lines of work. The difference between people who succeed at a goal and people who fail at a goal is that the successful people are willing to pick themselves and try again. Victories come from perseverance and there’s always a chance to try again. Sometimes the best way to become victorious is to take another look at the prize you are going for. Perhaps you can look for an opportunity which is slightly different from you original goal. You may even then find a whole new opportunity exists that is even better than the original one and you can put your efforts into achieving that new goal.
